Aluminum and stainless steels cannot be welded together in the typical welding process. They have very different melting temperatures and they do not mix to form an alloy. They may be bonded together other ways, like soldering and a bonding substrate. They can also be joined together with fasteners like rivets or screws. One problem with bonding these two metals together is that they create a battery when an electrolyte is is present.
