Fabrication(EBF3),电子束无模成形制造技术。是目前最为先进的直接制造技术(Direct Manufacturing),它可以从计算机3D模型直接成型出机械零件。与现有的快速成型技术(RP,rapid prototyping)不同的是,EBF3技术可以直接成型钛(titanium)、镍( nickel)、不锈钢(stainless steel)和其它有较高熔点的合金(refractory alloys)零件。EBF3将改变传统的金属加工制造模式,随着这一技术的进一步成熟,EBF3将首先应用于航空制造业、军工制造业和汽车制造业,大大缩短零件制造周期,减少原材料浪费,降低成本;并且有利于太空零件加工和空间设备维修。
! T0 \: a$ t' v: @/ v美国宇航局兰利研究中心(NASA Langley Research Center)日前对外演示了这项新技术。据了解,NASA已经获得了这项目技术的发明专利(#7,168,935),其它相关专利正在申请中,美国Sciaky Inc等公司为EBF3技术的合同商。7 h" V& J0 C, t% O
